Service and Maintenance Tips

How often should you change you air filter, and why?

Lacey Soileau - Thursday, August 05, 2010

Changing your air filter on a regular basis is a good idea. For regular air filters, you should check the filter at least once a month, especially during heavy use months (like winter and summer). If the filter looks dirty after a month, it might be time to change it.

At a minimum, a regular or pleated 1 to 2 inch air filter should be replaced every 3 months or possibly every month if you are a heavy user. If your system requires a filter like the Bryant Hi-Efficiency EZFlex Model 4 inch filter, your filter should be checked and replaced on an annual basis.

A dirty air filter will slow down air flow and cause your system to work harder than it normally would need to, to keep you warm or cool, thus wasting energy. Not only will a clean air filter allow proper air flow, but it will also prevent dust, dirt, and some allergens from building up in your system which could lead to expensive repairs and/or system failure.

Changing your filter is just one preventative step to keeping your home or office comfortable.

If you have more questions about your air filter, where it might be, or how to change it yourself, contact us at info@oasisair.com and we will do you best to help you out.

What to expect from a maintenance inspection

Lacey Soileau - Monday, June 14, 2010
Preventative maintenance is an important part of keeping your system working properly. Not only will it save you from costly repairs, but you should be aware that with out proof of routine maintenance from a qualified service technician, some suppliers and manufacturers will not cover warranties on your equipment, which could result in expensive repairs that you could have otherwise been prevented.

Below is a list of some of the inspections you can expect from your routine maintenance by one of our qualified service technicians. We stand behind the work we do because we know how important it is to get the quality service you deserve.
